Every day before going to bed I connect my iPod to my sound system, put it into sleep-mode and - if necessary - configure the iPod-alarm clock.
Several hours later (hopefully enough to start a powerful day) the iPod Alarm goes on and wakes up the sound system, humming me off sleep.
I tried several combinations so I couldn’t say if my selection might change during the next week but here is my current playlist:
1. Sonny & Cher - I Got You Babe
Don’t remember?
Well, it’s Groundhog Day… again… and that must mean we’re up here at Gobbler’s Knob waiting for the forecast from the world’s most-famous groundhog weatherman, Punxsutawney Phil, who’s just about to tell us how much more winter we can expect.
*Chhrrzz* This classic did not get me up? *_*
All right, we need more:
2. Trinity - Titoli
and
3. Con La Stella Di Vicesceriffo
both by Franco Micalizzi from the soundtrack of the famous (*epic*) movie “Lo chiamavano Trinità” (German: “Die rechte und die linke Hand des Teufels”, 1970 with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer) succeed.
Quite similar to this…
4. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by Ennio Morricone, most of you know it, also a very nice track to get up with.
Finally… lately…ultimately:
5. The Imperial March by John Williams
Darth Vader is coming, it’s obviously pretty urgent to get up now ;)
The trick is not to oversize the playlist so you start slumbering again…
Having said this…
It’s Groundhog Day!
’cause I’m groundhoggin’ again…
First D.J.: Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don’t forget your booties ’cause it’s cooooold out there today.
Second D.J.: It’s coooold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach?
First D.J.: Not hardly. And you know, you can expect hazardous travel later today with that, you know, that, uh, that blizzard thing.
Second D.J.: [mockingly] That blizzard - thing. That blizzard - thing. Oh, well, here’s the report! The National Weather Service is calling for a “big blizzard thing!”
First D.J.: Yessss, they are. But you know, there’s another reason why today is especially exciting.
Second D.J.: Especially cold!
First D.J.: Especially cold, okay, but the big question on everybody’s lips…
Second D.J.: - On their chapped lips…
First D.J.: - On their chapped lips, right: Do ya think Phil is gonna come out and see his shadow?
Second D.J.: Punxsutawney Phil!
First D.J.: Thats right, woodchuck-chuckers - it’s
[in unison]
First D.J.: GROUNDHOG DAY!
Second D.J.: GROUNDHOG DAY!
Ok, just another
Phil: Commander, what’s going on?
State Trooper: There’s nothing going on. We’re closing the road. Big blizzard moving in.
Phil: What blizzard? It’s a couple flakes.
State Trooper: Don’t you listen to the weather? We got a major storm here.
Phil: I make the weather! All this moisture coming up out of the Gulf will push off to the east and hit Altoona.
State Trooper: Pal, you got that moisture on your head. You can go back to Punxsutawney or you can freeze to death. It’s your choice. What’s it gonna be?
Phil: [pauses] I’m thinking…
